Project Overview and Details

International Towers in Sydney consist of three high-rise premium grade office buildings covering 280,000 sqm of office space. The large adaptable floorplates offer an average of 2,300 sqm each with up to 3,000 sqm on podium floors. The inter-connecting floors and huddle zones enhances collaboration and flexibility. The three towers rise 168, 178 and 217 meters above ground, and all of them offer a 6 Star Green star ”As built” rating.
The buildings form the core of the commercial, residental, retail and leisure development at Barangaroo South in Sydney. Barangaroo South is the first Australian Precinct to be classified as carbon neutral. The buildings are designed to reduce energy use by 75%.

Task

Frese’s valves are controlling the chilled water flow through the 30,000 chilled beams used to actively and passively provide the climate control of the International Towers.

Solution

Frese has delivered 3,500 OPTIMA Compacts across all three towers to pressure independently control the chilled water, the Delta T and thereby provide the best possible climate control.
